We know visiting the dentist can be stressful, so at Armstrong Smiles, we do everything we can to make you feel comfortable, including letting you know what to expect throughout. And if you have any questions, Dr Mina Guirguis (Dentist) and our staff are happy to answer them and explain anything you don’t understand.
First Checkup and Clean
Our friendly staff will welcome you, and then we’ll bring you back for your checkup. We’ll take a full-jaw OPG X-ray, which is a panoramic view of all the teeth of your upper and lower jaw. This will help us detect hidden issues, such as wisdom tooth problems.
Then Dr Mina will conduct a thorough checkup and let you know about any issues you may have. He’ll explain the problem, as well as treatment options to correct it. He’ll take the time to answer all of your questions, so you feel comfortable making the best decision for your circumstances.
Then you’ll receive an amazing clean, using EMS Airflow technology, which provides one of the highest-quality, most comfortable cleans possible. We’ll give you any tips and hints on how to keep your smile looking its best.
Going Forward
Your first visit will last approximately 50 minutes, and if Dr. Mina has recommended further care, our reception staff will help you schedule the necessary appointments to get your oral health up to optimum. We’ll also make any necessary payment arrangements at this time. We have a HICAPS terminal, so you can swipe your health plan on the spot.
